Monday through Thursday were no bueno for me. Some sort of virus decided it would make a home in my body. I was not a fan. This is what I ate all day, everyday.

Dump pasta is a staple of the Muller family. Tonight's dish included brussel sprouts, sun dried tomatoes, feta, brie, leeks, and pine nuts just to name a few. It was fabulous!! Thanks mom and Hil for your help :)

I got a new iPod/radio player for Christmas for my office and I love it but it is so loud!!!! I'm on the lowest volume level and it is still too loud for my desk. My solution? Plastic wrap over the speakers followed by a pad of paper on each side and a box of Kleenex on the left. Still loud but much more manageable :)

This was an eventful day so it gets two pictures and a story!

Addie is leaving for South Africa on the 10th for 6th months, so we wanted to see her before she left. We all decided to meet in Michigan City and do a little shopping and grab some dinner. A winter storm warning was in effect, but come-on we're from Michigan, we can handle it! Wrong. Into the ditch Staci and I went. This first picture is a lovely young man offering to pull us out before AAA could arrive on the scene.

The rest of the drive to MI City was done at an alarmingly slow rate, but we made it.....to Beverly Shores, which is where Addie accidentally got off the train, instead on Michigan City :) Shopping was quick, but dinner at the casino took far too long!

We had four minutes, literally, to eat after our food came out before we had to leave to get Addie to the train station.  We went through a couple stop signs and managed to fly through a second ditch, but we were close enough that the train attendant heard our frantic honking and screams to not leave without her. Hallelujah!

The drive back to Grand Rapids took an extra hour because of the bad weather, but we made it home alive. Moral of the story: Listen to the winter weather storm warnings, but go out anyways, because friends are more important ;)

Hello blog world!! I am going to attempt to post a picture a day for the entire year. Given my tendencies towards procrastination, and my lack of follow through, I'm as curious as you are to see how long I can keep this up! :) We're off to a rocky start as it is already the second, but since Staci only brought this idea to my attention today, I think we can count it. So wish me luck as I attempt this challenge!
